Registered Nurse: Overnight; Psychiatric Inpatient

As a nurse at Devereux Pennsylvania Children’s Services, you will work with other dedicated professionals at our Children’s Psychiatric Inpatient Hospital who share your passion for helping individuals in need. You will perform direct nursing care, administer medication, take doctor’s orders, and provide education and coping skills to patients regarding sex education, suicidal behaviors, symptom management, self‑control, etc. You will also create initial care plans and assist in discharge planning.

• Provide direct patient care during overnight shifts (7:00 pm–7:00 am).
• Administer medications and document care according to hospital protocols.
• Implement individualized education and coping skills plans.
• Coordinate with interdisciplinary team for assessment and care planning.
• Prepare and support discharge processes.

• Graduate of an approved nursing school with a B.S.N., Diploma, or A.D.
• Licensed to practice nursing in Pennsylvania.
• Minimum one year of post‑education nursing experience preferred; experience with children and adolescents with cognitive, behavioral, or medically complex conditions a plus.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience with data collection/analyzing platforms such as Radar, Pro‑Filer, or similar.
• Strong organizational, communication, and independent decision‑making skills.
• Valid driver’s license.

• Hourly wage $40.00–$45.60 (based on experience) plus shift differential.
• Shift differential: 7 pm–11 pm $2.50/hr; 11 pm–7 am $5.00/hr.
• Schedule:
  
  7:00 pm–7:00 am + every‑other weekend.
• Paid license renewal CEUs as part of our nurse continuing education program.
