Overview
Position: Seeking Science educator with competence in Biology. The applicant should have interest in STEM education, experimentation, project-based learning, data-driven instruction and college readiness (e.g. Advanced Placement and/or Dual Credit instruction). All Academy personnel must have the ability to challenge students to attain high spiritual and academic achievement. Applicant with exposure to secondary or collegiate educational experience preferred. Other duties include student supervision and sponsorship of student extracurricular activities.
Responsibilities- Support science education with emphasis on biology and STEM initiatives.
- Engage students in experimentation, project-based learning, and data-driven instruction.
- Promote college readiness through AP and/or dual credit opportunities where applicable.
- Supervise students and sponsor student extracurricular activities.
- Practicing member of the Seventh-day Adventist Church
- Bachelor’s degree in the content area;
Master’s degree or higher preferred
- Eligible for denominational teacher certificate
- Local Fingerprint and Background Check clearance
- Sterling Volunteers clearance
