Tenth Presbyterian Church
Pastoral Internship
The Pastoral Internship at Tenth exists to equip and develop the leadership abilities of candidates pursuing the office of ordained gospel ministry. The primary objectives for the Pastoral Intern are growth in personal holiness through Word and prayer, development of the gifts of teaching and service, and maturity in discipleship and counselling skills. Our one‑year part‑time Pastoral Internship is designed to satisfy half of a candidate’s Presbytery requirements (BCO 19‑7).
In accordance with Scripture and the Book of Church Order, the Pastoral Internship is open to men.
Tenth Presbyterian Church will invest in the next generation of pastors by both mentoring candidates and by providing them with ministry opportunities to discern their calling. Pastoral Internships will be offered to a maximum of four men per year. Priority will be given to members and worshippers ference will also be given to those who are willing to live in Tenth housing.
Pastoral Internships are normally one year in length but may be renewed subject to the approval of a Minister. Pastoral Interns should have no expectation of future employment at Tenth upon completion of their internship.
