Position Summary
The Associate Dean of High Impact Practices and Faculty Success works closely with faculty, administrators, and other stakeholders to advance innovative, high-impact learning experiences and support faculty success. The Associate Dean provides strategic leadership and operational oversight for all business programs, including curriculum development, experiential learning, faculty development, and assessment. The Associate Dean collaborates across the College to ensure that high impact practices continue to contribute to academic quality and applied learning.
Key Responsibilities
Experiential Learning and High-Impact Practices
* Collaborate across the college to support experiential learning and high-impact practices, including internships, project-based learning, service learning, simulations, and industry partnerships.
* Serve as a resource and guide for faculty implementing experiential and high-impact learning approaches, including but not limited to internships, employer engagement, community partnerships.
Strategic Leadership and Program Oversight
* Provide strategic direction and leadership for the Business Division in alignment with institutional mission and goals.
* Oversee all business division full-time and adjunct faculty, ensuring effective instruction and program delivery.
* Coordinate and guide business initiatives within the division and in collaboration with other academic and administrative areas across the college.
Curriculum and Assessment
* Coordinate the ongoing development, review, and updates of the business curriculum to ensure academic rigor, relevance, and alignment with institutional priorities, industry standards, and workforce needs.
* Work with the Director of Academic Quality to lead assessment activities for the Business Division, including data collection, analysis, reporting, and use of results for continuous improvement.
* Prepare and present assessment reports as required by the college and accrediting bodies.
Faculty Hiring, Development, and Evaluation
* Conduct annual evaluations of full-time probationary business faculty.
* Serve as a member of the faculty evaluation committee and participate in institutional faculty evaluation processes.
* Support faculty mentoring, instructional effectiveness, and alignment with division and college goals.
* Serve on hiring committees for full-time business faculty positions.
* Oversee the CTL Director and help lead semesterly assessment of CTL programming
Collaboration and Service
* Foster collaboration on business-related initiatives across academic divisions and with non-academic units.
