The engineer will ensure that data platforms and workflows adhere to security best practices, support threat detection and response capabilities, and meet compliance requirements across the enterprise.

  • Develop and implement robust ELT processes and automated data workflows using Databricks and modern cloud technologies.

  • Build and optimize data models, data marts, and integration frameworks that support analytics, data science, and cybersecurity monitoring (e.g., SIEM integration, threat intelligence enrichment).

  • Implement data quality checks and validation routines to ensure accuracy, completeness, integrity, and proper data governance.

  • Write efficient, maintainable code in SQL, Python, PySpark, and/or Scala to support data ingestion, transformation, and large-scale processing.

  • Ensure data pipelines and storage solutions follow security engineering best practices, including encryption, access control, audit logging, and secure Dev Ops patterns.

  • Document data engineering processes, data flows, and system architecture for cross-team visibility and knowledge sharing.

  • Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to understand requirements and deliver secure, high‑quality data solutions aligned with business and cyber objectives.

Required Qualifications
  • 5+ years of hands‑on experience in cloud data engineering, data integration, and/or data analysis.

  • 3+ years of experience developing scalable data pipelines using SQL, Python, PySpark, and/or Scala.

  • 3+ years of experience with Databricks and/or other cloud‑native data engineering platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP).

Preferred Qualifications
  • Prior experience in Security Engineering, Security Automation, or supporting cybersecurity platforms (e.g., SIEM, SOAR, threat intelligence tools).

  • Familiarity with data quality frameworks, data governance practices, and performance optimization techniques.

  • Experience applying security controls within cloud data ecosystems, such as secure data lake architectures, role‑based access, or sensitive data handling.
