What You'll Do:
* Provide customer service to clients and visitors by following established security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities in a financial services location.
* Screen employees, contractors, and visitors upon entry using approved access control methods and screening equipment, as required by post orders.
* Verify identification and appointment details, issue visitor credentials when authorized, and help direct visitors to the appropriate destinations.
* Monitor entry and exit points for irregular activity, unauthorized items, or policy violations, and report concerns through the designated reporting channels.
* Communicate with client personnel and Allied Universal leadership to coordinate arrivals, deliveries, and controlled access requests according to site procedures.
* Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, requesting additional support from supervisors and/or emergency services when necessary.
* Document screening activity, incidents, and unusual observations in written logs and/or electronic reporting systems per site requirements.
* Operate and monitor security-related systems such as cameras, alarms, intercoms, and access control platforms as assigned, and report malfunctions promptly.
* Assist with loss prevention and security-related awareness by observing behavioral indicators and reporting suspicious activity that may help to deter unauthorized access.
* Support emergency procedures such as evacuations, medical response notifications, and shelter-in-place actions per post orders, while maintaining controlled access to the screening area.
Minimum Requirements:
* Have 1+ years of security experience.
* Be 21+ years of age.
* Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
* Be comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
* Customer service experience is preferred.
* Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
* Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
* As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
* Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
* As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
* Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
* A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
