Position Overview

The Cashier/Expo is a team member of the Front of House. The Cashier/Expo is responsible and accountable for superior customer satisfaction through positive customer management in greeting, menu guidance, payment process, loyalty benefits, and ensuring that core values are carried out through execution. The Cashier/Expo is expected to be a role model for the company culture and always exhibit the highest standards in overall guest experience by delivering the best service in the cleanest, most friendly and safest dining environment.

Job Description

The Cashier/Expo reports directly to the assigned Shift Leader and General Manager. The Cashier/Expo is accountable for executing the policies, procedures and direction provided by the SL or GM. The Cashier/Expo is required to successfully complete and meet the requirements of the General Team Member Training Certification and the Cashier/Expo Training Certification. The Cashier/Expo must be able to fluently speak and write in English, and must maintain professional dress, speech, and behavior at all times.

Responsibilities
  • Ensures that customers are professionally and enthusiastically greeted, guided through the menu, and processed efficiently with a friendly, positive attitude aligning with company core values
  • Superior knowledge of entire menu, ingredients, modifications, allergens, upcharge costs
  • Handles orders inside, drive‑thru, and by phone
  • Performs the work of other team members as needed
  • Operates a Point of Sale system, accurately reconciling daily check‑outs, sales, tips, and credit cards
  • Maintains proper cash handling procedures at all times
  • Adheres to policies and procedures for comps, voids, employee food, and customer loyalty program
  • Completes primary and secondary responsibilities and daily duties at a superior level
  • Addresses customer complaints and reports to SL or GM
  • Performs table touches to ensure order accuracy, food quality, needed refills, and guest satisfaction
  • Keeps company passwords and intellectual property confidential
  • Demonstrates a positive, helpful attitude and presents professional conduct and appearance at all times
  • Uses, implements, and adheres to all company policies, procedures, systems, and processes
  • Maintains regular and predictable attendance; scheduled working hours range from Sunday to Saturday, 5:30 am to 5:30 pm, with shifts of 4 to 8 hours in length
Requirements
  • 18+ years of age
  • High school graduate
  • Prefer prior restaurant experience; not required
  • Dependable, honest, trustworthy, with integrity
  • Positive attitude and strong personal drive
  • Courteous and enthusiastic
  • Willingness and ability to learn in a fast‑paced sales environment
  • Exceptional communication skills
  • Exceptional guest service skills
  • Basic math and computer skills
  • Prefer proficiency on Aloha POS; not required
  • Prefer ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and efficiently
  • Successful completion of General Team Member Training Certification
  • Successful completion of Cashier/Expo Training Certification
  • Availability to work on weekends
  • Reliable transportation
