Pay Rate: $12.15/Hour, Plus Tips opportunity

Description

The Runner is responsible for delivering food orders from the kitchen to customers  tables rapidly and accurately. Acting as the point of contact between Front of the House and Back of the House staff.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Responsible for helping maintain the efficiency of a restaurant kitchen by delivering dishes to the table
• Deliver items to the customer’s table when they are ready to eat
• Assist waiters and waitresses
• Keep a constant flow of items from the kitchen to the table to the dishwasher
• Demonstrated ability to work well in a team environment
• Effective verbal and written communication skills
• Stay organized throughout the day to avoid becoming overwhelmed during busy times
• Communicate well with other members of restaurant staff
• Coordinate and keep track of several tasks at once
• Speak up loudly to let coworkers know what needs to be done
• Other duties/tasks/projects as assigned

Qualifications & Skills

• High School Diploma preferred
• Proof of eligibility to work in the United States
• Valid Driver’s License
• 18+ years of age
• Possession of or the ability to possess all state required work cards
• Minimum of one (1) year related experience
• Familiarity with Opentable
• Proper lifting techniques
• Guest relations
• Sanitation and safety
• Safe alcohol service
• Full service restaurant operations
• Ability to communicate effectively and assertively in English, both verbally and in writing with staff, clients, and the public

• Work indoors and/or outdoors, exposed to hot and/or cold surfaces, steam, and wet floors
• Work in an environment with varying levels of noise, crowds and smoke, depending on guest volume
• Fast paced, high volume, full service restaurant
• Work varied shifts to include days, nights, weekends and holidays
