Scottsdale’s Indian School Park Baseball Complex and Scottsdale Stadium are seeking an experienced groundskeeper to join the talented team who expertly maintain a total of 7.5 baseball fields across two sprawling complexes. Responsibilities- Prepping professional baseball and recreation softball fields
- Maintaining infields and running areas
- Installing and maintaining irrigation system lines
- Checking irrigation systems for proper watering schedules
- Planting, trimming, fertilizing, and general upkeep of fields, parks, and surrounding grounds areas
- Performing grounds keeping duties to ensure safe, litter-free, and clean facilities
Anticipated starting salary for this position may be up to mid-point depending on candidate’s experience and internal equity. The full salary range is listed above and mid-point for this position is $26.56/hour.

Education and Experience- A high school diploma or General Educational Development (GED) equivalent.
- One year of experience at the Maintenance Worker I level or equivalent experience in public works, grounds, or landscape maintenance.
- Any equivalent combination of education and/or job-related experience that meets the minimum qualifications may be substituted.
- Must possess and maintain a valid, unrestricted driver's license with no major citations within the past 39 months prior to the start date. The Arizona Department of Motor Vehicles requires that out-of-state driver’s licenses be surrendered within 10 days of relocating to Arizona.
Note:
Graduated Driver’s Licenses are considered restricted. - Within six months of hire, an Arizona Pest Control Applicator certification possessing Category 1 (Industrial and Institutional), Category 3 (Ornamental & Turf) and Category 4 (Right-of-Way) must be obtained.
- Every person employed by the City of Scottsdale shall reside in the State of Arizona during active employment.
