We are hiring experienced Veterinary Technicians to join our emergency team. With Thrive’s support, tools and resources you will elevate your skills in a locally rooted, nationally connected hospital.

About You

Your role will give you a life‑changing impact on pets’ health. You’ll deliver comprehensive care from outpatient treatments and laboratory tests to surgical assistance and support services such as admitting and dischargingיגע patients.

• Has a minimum of 2 years’ experience as an BITIN veterinary technician
• ECC/CVT/LVT/RVT credentials encouraged to apply
• Has experience in anesthesia and surgical assisting and post‑operative care
• Available for on‑call rotation (required)
• Excellent problem‑solving abilities (judgment, logic, creativity, conflict resolution)
• Strong attention to detail
• Able to observe the behavior and condition of animals
• Provide superior nursing care or emergency first aid to recovering or injured animals
• Comfortable with anesthetic patient monitoringिरी ASA I‑III (preferred experience with ASA I‑V)
• Familiarity with the use of ventilators (preferred)
• Prepandi animals and instruments for surgery
• Able to obtain blood pressure, interpret basic ECG, SpO₂, and EtCO₂ and integrate clinical signs with disease processes to assist doctors in early and appropriate intervention of patient care
• Collect laboratory samples such as blood, urine or tissue for testing
• Perform laboratory tests such as urinalyses and blood counts
• Comfortable utilizing digital radiography machines to acquire images using proper technique and positioning
• Comfortable utilizing advanced diagnostic equipment
• Administer medications and treatments prescribed by a veterinarian
• Collect and record patients' case histories

• Support veterinarians to ensure quality veterinary care, advocate for pets, and educate clients.
• With each hospital function, assist veterinarians and the medical team to maximize productivity and maintain positive patient flow.
• Assist with surgeries and procedures in accordance with your state's Veterinary Practice Act for credentialed veterinary technicians.
• Communicate with clients about individualized pet health concerns and offer guidance on Thrive Membership options, medications, and additional treatments.
• Assist in maintaining relevant, comprehensive medical records with the support of practice systems.
• Obtain relevant health history and information from clients and maintain medical charts.
• Use safe restraining techniques, follow standard protocols, and sustain clean, sterile, organized treatment areas, exam rooms, and labs.
• Be willing to guide, mentor, and support fellow team members.
