Responsibilities- Lead and inspire a large, diverse perioperative team in a 24/7, high‑acuity Main OR environment.
- Oversee staffing operations, including acuity‑based planning and daily shift grid management to ensure safe, efficient care delivery.
- Partner with surgical services leadership to support physician engagement and interdisciplinary collaboration.
- Manage performance, coach staff, and cultivate emerging leaders and preceptors within the department.
- Monitor productivity, patient flow, and quality outcomes, making proactive adjustments to optimize operations.
- Support budget oversight and resource stewardship while maintaining exceptional standards of care.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and foster a culture of safety and accountability.
- Drive educational initiatives and professional development opportunities to elevate team performance.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing required.
- Active RN license in Arizona (or eligibility to obtain).
- Current BLS certification.
- Minimum 5 years of relevant nursing experience with demonstrated mastery in acute care.
- At least 2 years of OR nursing leadership experience in a high‑volume, similarly sized acute care hospital setting.
- Proven ability to lead large teams (experience overseeing ~80 FTEs strongly preferred).
- Strong interpersonal, operational, and physician collaboration skills.
- Independent, community-based acute care hospital serving Southern Arizona.
- 14-suite Main OR including endovascular, open heart, robotic, pediatric, and specialty surgical rooms.
- Full spectrum of surgical services including general (adult & peds), ENT, urology, vascular, thoracic, cardiac, ophthalmology, podiatry, and oral surgery.
- 24/7 OR and PACU coverage with structured pre‑op and on‑call support.
- Approximately 80 FTEs within the Main OR.
