Via Linda Behavioral Hospital is an innovative behavioral health hospital offering a full continuum of inpatient and outpatient services to the people of Scottsdale and the greater Phoenix, Arizona metro area. Our 120-bed facility will provide specialized mental health services and substance use treatment for teens, adults and older adults experiencing issues such as depression, anxiety, personality disorders and co-occurring addictions.

Under the direction of the Director of Intake, the Intake RN is responsible for the timely processing of inquiry/referral calls, coordination of all admissions processes and serves as liaison to referral sources, families, payors, physicians, unit and hospital personnel involved with each admission. The Intake RN duties include triaging patients, completing assessments for physicians to identify an appropriate level of care, staffing clinical effectively, entering calls and admissions in the computer and completing nursing admission paperwork with the patient.

This position interfaces closely with internal hospital staff, facility physicians, referring hospitals, patients, families, and community referral sources. The Intake RN also is responsible for verification and prior authorization of insurance benefits as needed.

• Current license to practice nursing in Arizona or compact privileges
• Preferred one year of experience working in a psychiatric inpatient setting
• Ability to attain a Level 1 Fingerprint Clearance Card
