RN - Rehab

The Registered Nurse (RN) maintains the delivery of quality care by ensuring the nursing care plan is followed. The RN supervises Licensed Practical Nurses, Certified Nursing Assistants, and orientees, playing a key role in patient safety and care quality.

• Perform nursing assessments on all patients within 8 hours of admission.
• Collaborate with patients/families and the interdisciplinary team to identify teaching needs and goals based on the nursing assessment.
• Provide patient information and status during Initial and Re-evaluation Team Conferences.
• Accountable for accurate, timely documentation of assessments, interventions, and patient responses.
• Participate in the patient rehabilitation program and provide direct patient care following the nursing process.
• Initiate discharge planning and patient education upon admission.
• Communicate changes in patient status to ensure continuity of care and patient safety.
• Provide direction and supervision to ancillary nursing personnel.
• Ensure personal and environmental safety in accordance with policies and procedures.
• Contribute to a positive work environment through team building activities.
• Assume charge responsibilities as requested after orientation.
• Engage in professional growth through continuing education and self-study.

• BLS Certification required prior to first shift.
• ACLS required prior to first shift (specific to CIRH).
• A minimum of two (2) years of bedside clinical experience is required.
