The simple biblical definition of Shema means to hear, but it has a much richer meaning. It means to hear so clearly and strongly that you are compelled to obey whatever you hear. We love to Shema because we love being surprised by God’s extravagant response to our faithful obedience to his voice.

As a church, the best thing we can do to help you grow is get off of you that which is causing you to run so slow. This Role
As the Social Media Manager, you’ll oversee Pillar’s content across platforms — ensuring it’s planned well, communicated clearly, and distributed effectively. You’ll work closely with our creative team to manage content flow, write compelling copy, and optimize performance so people don’t just scroll — they connect. We’re looking for someone who knows that posting content is easy — but guiding people toward meaningful next steps takes strategy.

Primary Responsibilities & Tasks

  • Content Strategy & Planning
    Build and manage a content calendar across platforms. Coordinate content delivery with video and creative teams. Ensure consistency in tone, voice, and messaging. Adapt content appropriately for each platform.
  • Content & Copywriting
    Write captions, calls-to-action, and supporting copy. Create light content as needed (stories, text-based posts). Guide people toward sermons, events, and next steps.
  • Publishing & Optimization
    Schedule and publish content across platforms. Track performance metrics and identify trends. Optimize content based on insights and engagement data.
  • Collaboration & Organization
    Manage workflows and deadlines. Collaborate with internal teams to support events and initiatives. Ensure content is ready and published on time.
