Noraxon is seeking a skilled Soldering Technician to join our production team in Scottsdale, Arizona. This role is ideal for someone who takes pride in precision work, takes ownership, enjoys hands-on technical challenges, and thrives in a smaller, collaborative team environment.

In this position, you will assemble and rework high-quality SMT and PCB electronic products using surface-mount soldering techniques. You will work with very small components, such as QFN packages and 0201 passives
, and perform microscope-based rework
, as well as support repairs for customer returns (RMAs). Quality and attention to detail are critical to ensuring our products meet the high standards required in research and clinical environments.

This is a skilled technical position focused on precision work and complex SMT and PCB electronics
, where your workmanship truly matters.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Perform high-precision soldering of small surface-mount components (QFN, 0201, and similar)

  • Replace and rework electronic components under a microscope

  • Use soldering irons, hot air rework pens, and rework stations

  • Repair customer RMAs and returned electronic assemblies

  • Assemble electronic products following drawings, schematics, and BOMs

  • Maintain a clean, organized, and ESD-safe workstation

  • Collaborate with engineering, quality, and production team members

  • Operate light machinery such as a laser cutter and drill press as needed

Required

Skills and Abilities
  • Ability to work comfortably under a microscope with high precision

  • Strong hand-soldering and rework skills

  • Knowledge of IPC-A-610 workmanship standards

  • Experience with
    ESD control practices

  • Ability to read and interpret assembly drawings and BOMs

  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills

  • Strong attention to detail and pride in high-quality work

Education & Experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in surface-mount soldering and electronic assembly
