Associate Litigation Attorney – Gurstel Law Firm, P.C. (Phoenix, AZ)

Base: $95,000–$120,000 per year

Arizona-licensed attorney with 2+ years of experience, proactively problem-solver, ready to own litigation cases in a fast‑paced, integrity‑driven environment.

• Provide thorough and practical assessments and advice while advocating for clients in and out of court.
• Maintain high‑quality work product and performance in a fast‑paced environment while doing right, maintaining integrity, and achieving results.
• Prepare, draft, and review documents, new referrals, complaints, motions, and discovery requests and responses.
• Document account/file activity in accordance with firm and client policies and procedures.
• Coordinate and attend court proceedings virtually; travel to various courts in the State as needed to handle all aspects of a case’s litigation life cycle.
• Research and interpret case laws, rulings, and regulations; formulate legal opinions for review by supervising attorney.
• Communicate with clients responsively to maintain and develop client relationships.
• Negotiate settlements.
• Attend continuing education classes, webinars, and seminars to remain current on local, state, or federal changes in law, court rules, or procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Qualified attorney with no discipline history, active license in Arizona.
• Membership in California Bar.
• Preferred: 3–5 years’ experience; minimum 2-year civil law firm experience.
• Ability to collaborate with other employees to utilize resources and knowledge for high‑quality solutions.
• Leadership skills and ability to motivate others to achieve results.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills across a broad spectrum of attorney and non‑attorney recipients at all levels.

• Knowledge of state laws and regulations relevant to motor vehicle repossessions, collections, and repair shop and storage facilities (preferred but will train).
• Detail‑oriented with excellent organizational skills.
• Team‑oriented, meets tight deadlines, prioritizes projects with limited supervision.
• Proficiency with Westlaw, Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, Adobe Acrobat, Legal Case Management Software.
