Inside Property Adjuster – Scottsdale, AZ

Responsibilities
  • Provide exceptional service to policyholders by virtually inspecting damages, investigating coverage, preparing estimates, and settling claims promptly and accurately.
  • Interact with customers, contractors, and vendors using various software platforms (Xactimate, Claims

    X Video Collaboration) and communicate via voice, email, and text messages.
  • Act as a Customer Service Expert by caring for claimants, leading with empathy, and maintaining clear, compassionate communication.
  • Investigate property claims independently, review damage, and interpret policies to determine coverage.
  • Communicate updates and discuss claim needs with customers, offering preferred channels of communication.
  • Evaluate and negotiate settlements with customers, vendors, third-party carriers, and claimants in line with legal and business standards.
  • Utilize tools and resources (estimate tools, job aids, settlement platforms) to resolve claims efficiently while applying critical thinking.
  • Maintain thorough documentation in the claims system and ensure timely, accurate records for each claim.
Minimum Qualifications / Requirements
  • High School/GED or equivalent.
  • 1+ years of customer service experience preferred; previous industry experience is highly desirable.
  • Proficiency in Xactimate and other relevant software for virtual assessments preferred.
  • Ability to assess property damages and determine claim coverage accurately.
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills for remote interactions with customers and stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a virtual work environment.
  • Detail-oriented and organized with a focus on high-quality, efficient claim resolutions.
  • Residency within the posted location is mandatory.
Schedule

Monday – Friday; 8:00 am – 4:30 pm with rotational Saturday duty. In-office. Some weekends and extended hours may be required to serve customers in times of need.

Licensing & Training

Notice of Licensing Requirement:
Depending on the office, you may be required to obtain an adjuster and/or appraiser license, including a background check with the Department of Labor. If applicable, licenses must be secured within 60 days of hire. The Hiring Manager will coordinate with the Centralized Licensing team to ensure proper licensing.

You will receive comprehensive training to build a claims foundation and learn the systems and processes used daily, with ongoing training opportunities on the job.

Sign-On Bonus

You may be eligible for a $1,000 Licensing Sign-on Bonus if you have applicable active licenses (e.g., Home Resident Property & Casualty License, DHS Florida or Texas License, and/or applicable Appraiser License). Current employees or candidates who have previously worked for Allstate or its family of companies are not eligible.

Compensation

Compensation range: $22.44 – $33.70 per hour, based on experience and qualifications. A background investigation will be required for selected candidates.
