Linux Administrator - Service Now Infrastructure Scottsdale, AZ Pay Estimated: $68.12-$73.12/Hour Active Secret Clearance Required to Start We are seeking a CMDB Architect & Administrator to own the design, implementation, governance, and operational integrity of the Service Now Configuration Management Database (CMDB). This role is responsible for ensuring accurate and complete configuration item (CI) data in secure environments where automated discovery may be limited due to security constraints.

Responsibilities:
* Install, configure, and maintain Service Now MID servers on Linux platforms for Discovery and integration operations
* Administer Linux systems including RHEL, CentOS, and Ubuntu environments
* Configure and maintain AWS infrastructure components including EC2, RDS, VPCs, security groups, IAM, and networking
* Implement system hardening, patching, and security configurations aligned with STIGs, CIS benchmarks, FedRAMP, and FISMA requirements
* Monitor system performance, capacity, and availability; troubleshoot Linux-level and cloud infrastructure issues
* Automate deployment and configuration management using Terraform, Cloud Formation, Ansible, or similar Infrastructure-as-Code tools
* Manage backup and disaster recovery processes for MID servers and related infrastructure
* Coordinate with network and cybersecurity teams on firewall rules, routing, and cross-enclave connectivity
* Maintain system documentation including architecture diagrams, runbooks, and CMDB updates

Qualifications:

* U.S. Citizenship is required by Federal Law
* Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering or related STEM field OR Master's degree plus 3 years of related experience
* Active DoD Secret security clearance required at time of hire

* Experience:

* 5+ years of job-related IT systems experience
* 3+ years of enterprise Linux system administration experience
* 2+ years of hands-on AWS cloud infrastructure experience
* Core Technical

Skills:

* Linux administration (RHEL, CentOS, Ubuntu)
* Service Now MID Server support
* AWS services: EC2, RDS, VPC, IAM, Cloud Watch
* Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Cloud Formation, Ansible)
* Scripting (Bash, Python)
* Secure cloud architecture and federal compliance frameworks

Preferred Qualifications:

* Agile environment experience
* Service Now CIS-CMDB (Certified Implementation Specialist - CMDB)
* OR CIS-SAM (Software Asset Management) Certification
* Certifications (Preferred):
* RHCSA (Red Hat Certified System Administrator) or equivalent
