How You Will Make An ImpactWe are seeking an experienced and highly motivated IT Systems Administrator to join our IT team. This role is crucial for maintaining the stability, security, and efficiency of our end user infrastructure across our organization. The ideal candidate will possess deep technical knowledge across diverse operating systems, cloud services, identity management, and network infrastructure, and be able to work independently to resolve complex issues and drive projects to completion.
This position reports to the Director of IT and is available at our Scottsdale, AZ office location.
- Design, implement, configure, and maintain core infrastructure components including servers, storage, network devices (switches, routers, firewalls), and operating systems (Mac, Windows, Linux).
- Ensure high availability and disaster recovery readiness for critical business systems.
- Manage virtualization environments and containerization platforms (if applicable).
- Administer and maintain monitoring systems (e.g., Zabbix) to proactively identify and resolve performance issues and system outages.
- Oversee and manage our Mobile Device Management (MDM) platforms, including Jamf (macOS/iOS) and Microsoft Intune (Windows).
- Administer and maintain the enterprise identity and access management (IAM) solution, Okta, ensuring secure and seamless single sign-on (SSO) and lifecycle management.
- Manage and support our cloud productivity suite, Google Workspace.
- Evaluate, secure, and manage emerging technologies and corporate usage of AI tools (Gemini, ChatGPT, Claude, etc.).
- Manage, configure, and troubleshoot all network infrastructure components (LAN, WAN, VPN, wireless) to ensure optimal performance and security on our Cisco Meraki environment.
- Implement and enforce security best practices, patch management, vulnerability remediation, and access controls across all systems and networks.
- Manage firewall rules, intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS), and other network security appliances.
- Participate in security audits and contribute to developing robust security policies.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical support issues, including system, network, and application failures.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation, including network diagrams, system configurations, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Mentor junior IT staff and share technical knowledge across the team.
- Plan and execute infrastructure projects, upgrades, and migrations with minimal disruption to business operations.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
