Network Engineering Support – Satellite Ground Systems

Contract Position

Pay Estimated: $74.43-$79.43/Hour

This estimate represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors (geographical location, etc.).

Contribute to a company at the forefront of mission‑critical systems and technologies in defense and security. This leader in global defense integrates advanced technology to deliver information and insights on the battlefield, offering roles that support security and technological superiority across multiple domains.

• Design and implement enterprise and high‑speed network topologies for satellite ground systems.
• Maintain and administer network infrastructure using Linux IDM and Windows Server environments for DNS and account management.
• Configure and support Juniper firewalls, Arista switches, and NAS/SAN storage solutions.
• Troubleshoot and optimize routing protocols, including BGP, OSPF, and multicast configurations.
• Perform vulnerability scanning, system hardening, and remediation of security findings in accordance with cybersecurity standards.
• Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation for network, systems, and operations.
• Support virtualization infrastructure, including VMware vSphere and Red Hat Linux‑based systems.

• U.S. Citizenship is required by Federal Law.
• Bachelor’s or Technology degree in Engineering or a related field, or equivalent (4 additional years of job‑related experience may substitute).
• 8+ years of relevant network engineering experience (6+ years with a Master’s degree).

• Enterprise network design and topologies.
• High‑speed data networking.
• Linux IDM, Windows Server, DNS, and account management.
• Juniper firewalls, Arista switches, NAS/SAN storage.
• Routing protocols: BGP, OSPF, multicast.
• Vulnerability scanning and system hardening.
• VMware vSphere, Virtual Machines, Red Hat Linux.
