Starting rate: $21.00 per hour
A General Maintenance Engineer will primarily be responsible for general maintenance and repairs in guest rooms, meeting spaces, and front of house areas. Guest room and public area entry-level preventative maintenance are included. The engineer will also perform some repairs on mechanical, electrical, kitchen, and laundry equipment, requiring some skill and experience in these areas. Good communication skills are also required.
Key Responsibilities- Respond promptly to guest maintenance requests to minimize impact on the guest experience.
- Diagnose and resolve issues in guest rooms efficiently, ensuring repairs meet quality and safety standards.
- Communicate effectively with guests when necessary to provide updates or clarify service details.
- Collaborate closely with the Rooms Division team to prioritize and complete requests in a timely manner.
- Follow all safety protocols and maintain a professional demeanor while working in guest areas.
- A minimum of 1 year building maintenance experience required, with hotel experience preferred.
- Good customer skills.
- Must have open availability Friday - Tuesday, 8:00AM - 4:30PM, including holidays.
- Ability to walk or stand for long periods of time.
- Ability to lift, push, pull, and/or carry at least 50 lbs.
