Roles and Responsibilities- Assisting in planning and organizing events, including setting up, managing, and breaking down banquet spaces.
- Ensure all event details are aligned with client specifications and expectations.
- Working closely with clients, event planners, and other departments within the hotel.
- Address and resolve client or guest related complaints promptly and professionally.
- Oversee the setup of tables, chairs, linens, and décor according to event requirements.
- Ensure the proper setup of AV equipment, catering stations, and any other event-specific needs.
- Lead the Event Set Up team by recruiting, training, scheduling, and motivating staff to consistently meet deadlines.
- Collaborate with leaders across the resort to effectively prepare and execute events, partnering with Event Services, Event Planning, Sales, Culinary, Rooms, AV, and other departments.
- Assist in maintaining inventory levels for banquet supplies and equipment, including tables, chairs, linens, dance floors, and staging items.
- Prepare post-event reports, including attendant, revenue, and any operational challenges.
- Ensure all billing and payment processes are completed accurately in Micros and Evention.
- Ensure all events comply with health and safety regulations, including food safety, fire safety, OSHA regulations, emergency procedures, and general workplace safety.
- A true desire to satisfy the needs of others in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to stand for long periods and walk moderate distances.
- Ability to lift, pull, and push a moderate weight (about 50 lbs.).
- Proficient in basic computer skills.
- Previous experience in banquets preferred (full-service hotel).
- Previous experience with Micros and Evention preferred.
- Previous Payroll and/or Dimensions experience preferred.
- Previous experience in banquet service, event coordination, or hospitality management is preferred.
- Strong leadership and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple events simultaneously.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
