Patriot Support Outpatient Therapist - PRN/Per Diem
Join Via Linda Behavioral Hospital’s exceptional Outpatient Team as the Patriot Support Therapist specializing in Veteran, Active Duty and First Responder populations. This Outpatient Program Therapist provides clinical social services and therapeutic treatment skills to enable patients to achieve their optimal level of emotional and behavioral health. The role is responsible for psychosocial assessments, group and family therapy, participation in treatment team planning, processing commitments, discharge planning/case management services, making referrals, crisis intervention, and acting as a liaison with referral sources and other departments within the hospital.

Via Linda Behavioral Hospital is an innovative behavioral health hospital offering a full continuum of outpatient and inpatient services to the people of Scottsdale and the greater Phoenix, Arizona metro area. Our 120‑bed facility provides specialized mental health services and substance use treatment for teens, adults and older adults experiencing depression, anxiety, personality disorders and co‑occurring addictions.
Responsibilities- Conduct psychosocial assessments and develop individualized treatment plans.
- Provide individual, group, and family therapy sessions.
- Participate in treatment team planning and case management.
- Process commitments, discharge planning, and referrals.
- Implement crisis intervention strategies.
- Act as liaison with referral sources and internal departments.
- Master’s degree in counseling, social work, psychology or a closely related behavioral health field.
- Two years of professional counseling experience in a substance abuse or mental health treatment program.
- Minimum two years of full‑time behavioral health experience in a psychiatric health care facility, with direct experience in group therapies, crisis intervention, and treatment skills.
- Strong clinical assessment skills.
- Licensure issued by the Arizona Board of Behavioral Health Examiners (LAC, LPC, LMSW, or LCSW).
- Experience with veteran, active‑duty or first responder populations preferred.
- Ability to obtain a Level 1 Fingerprint Clearance Card.

Pay Range: $62,000–$92,000 per annum
