We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Medical Referral Coordinator to join our team. The Medical Referral Coordinator will be responsible for coordinating patient referrals to specialists and other healthcare providers. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, be able to multitask, and have a strong understanding of medical terminology.

Responsibilities
  • Coordinate patient referrals to specialists and other healthcare providers
  • Communicate with patients, healthcare providers, and insurance companies to ensure timely and accurate referrals
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of patient referrals
  • Follow up with patients to ensure they have received the necessary care
  • Collaborate with healthcare providers to ensure the best possible care for patients
  • Provide excellent customer service to patients and healthcare providers

Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 2+ years of experience in a healthcare setting
  • Strong understanding of medical terminology
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Knowledge of HIPAA restrictions and policy
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and electronic medical records systems
Physical Requirements
  • Effective use of office equipment including computers, phones, and printers.
  • Ability to sit at a computer terminal for extended periods.
  • Ability to communicate effectively via telephone and in an active office environment.
  • Ability to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
