Overview
We are looking for enthusiastic individuals to join our team as Behavior Technicians. As a Behavior Technician, you will have the opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of children with autism.
You will work one-on-one with children, implementing individualized behavior intervention plans under the guidance of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). You will use evidence-based techniques to teach communication, social, and daily living skills while reducing interfering behaviors.
Responsibilities- Work one-on-one with children to implement individualized behavior intervention plans under BCBA supervision.
- Use evidence-based techniques to teach communication, social, and daily living skills.
- Identify and reduce interfering behaviors in collaboration with the team.
- Collaborate with families to support progress and carryover of skills at home and in the community.
- Maintain accurate records of progress and complete required documentation as part of the treatment plan.
- Passionate about helping children with autism
- Patient, compassionate, and able to work well in a team
- 18+ years of age
- High school diploma or GED
- Ability to obtain CPR/First Aid Certification and a Tuberculosis test (if not current within the last year)
- Ability to pass a pre-employment background check
- Ability to move in various positions (sit, stand, bend, kneel, crouch, etc.)
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
- Additional qualifications (not required):
- Experience as a Behavioral Technician or in roles with children with autism or other learning disabilities;
Teacher’s Aide, Tutor, CNA, Caregiver, or Home Health Aide
Pay Range: $18-24
