Job Description

Adelphi is seeking a Speech Language Pathologist to provide comprehensive speech and language services within a school district in Arizona. The Speech Language Pathologist will work collaboratively with school staff, families, and students to evaluate, diagnose, and deliver services that support communication development in accordance with applicable guidelines and standards of practice.

Requirements
  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or a related field
  • Current and valid Arizona Speech Language Pathologist license
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP)
  • SLP-Clinical Fellowship candidates may be accepted with a vendor-provided supervisor for direct supervision
Responsibilities
  • Assist and guide teachers and staff in observing, describing, and referring suspected and identified speech and language impairments.
  • Screen, evaluate, and recommend appropriate placement and services for students referred for speech and language support.
  • Assist with hearing screenings as required.
  • Develop appropriate annual goals and measurable benchmarks for each eligible student’s Individualized Education Program (IEP).
  • Collaborate with classroom teachers and other school personnel to integrate services into students’ daily educational activities.
  • Maintain accurate and current records for each qualifying student, including documentation of evaluations, services, and progress.
  • Conduct parent and staff conferences to explain evaluation findings and provide recommendations.
  • Participate in staff meetings, in-service trainings, and required onboarding and compliance trainings.
  • Provide parent trainings related to speech and language development and current issues.
