As a Medical Receptionist with Ortho Arizona, you’ll get to:
- Answer phones in a prompt, courteous and helpful manner, screen and route calls as needed, create phone notes in the patient electronic medical record, and/or provide information to patients.
- Assist in indexing patient documents to the correct patient chart.
- Assist in routing electronic faxes to the correct location fax folder and/or uploading to the correct patient chart.
- Assist with other duties as needed during down time.
- All other duties as assigned.
Includes:
- Excellent customer / patient service
- Knowledge of medical terminology
- Working knowledge of computer programs
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Understand/Perform training on practice management software
- Continue to expand knowledge of practice management software as updates occur
- Follow all Standard Operating Procedures
- Minimum Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED
- At least one year of medical office experience
- 1+ year using an EMR with Mod Med experience preferred
- Strong technical aptitude and attention to detail
- Bilingual a plus
- Basic phone handling skills - Contact Center experience
- Basic knowledge of insurance plans and the specialty referral process
