Med Health Partners is one of the nation's leading providers of air ambulance in the U.S. for patients in need of vital medical transportation. We fly jets that are equipped as "flying ICUs" to safely transport patients throughout the country, generally from one hospital to another.

What You Will Do:

Med Health Partners is looking for pre-service specialists to help our patients obtain medical transportation with us by verifying patient medical insurance coverage through our eligibility and benefits process. The position will be responsible for conducting online benefit checks and making outbound calls to insurance companies to submit pre-authorization requests. You will follow-up on pending pre-authorizations and speak with insurance company representatives to confirm and validate patient insurance eligibility.

What We Need from You:

Prior medical experience confirming patient eligibility and benefits in a hospital or doctor's office is helpful. In place of experience, we will train a recent college graduate. You need to be a resourceful, critical thinker that is open to learning about healthcare coverage and medical billing. You will spend significant time on the phone talking with insurance company representatives to help our patients receive coverage for their medical flight.

Specific skills we are looking for include:

• Strong organizational and oral/written communications skills.
• Excellent customer service skills and the ability to engage others over the phone.
• Ability to spend significant time on the phone and a willingness to multi-task during long hold times.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Windows, Outlook, Work, Excel.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment while exhibiting strong interpersonal skills.
• Detail orientation with the ability to handle multiple assignments promptly and effectively.
