Director of Plant Operations
Director of Plant Operations responsible for overseeing housekeeping/laundry operations, training staff, and maintaining high standards of sanitation, safety, and service.
Position SummarySupervises housekeeping/laundry operations, trains team members, and maintains high standards of sanitation, safety, and service.
Essential Job Functions- Oversee cleanliness and maintenance per company standards; supervise staff; manage schedules; conduct inspections; maintain supply inventories.
- Perform cleaning functions as needed; promote safety and exemplary service.
- Greet residents, employees, and guests warmly—by name and with a smile; treat everyone with courtesy and respect; embrace and value our differences; anticipate needs and act proactively; listen and respond promptly and enthusiastically.
- Hold ourselves and one another accountable; maintain professionalism in conduct and appearance.
- Pay attention to details; ask, “Is there anything else I can do for you?”
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Six (6) months housekeeping experience preferred; supervisory exposure a plus.
- Communication; teamwork; attention to detail; safety orientation.
- Comfort using Gardens Care’s approved systems is required:
Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Drive, Gmail, Calendar, Meet), ECP (care management), Sagely (life enrichment/activity documentation), and ADP (timekeeping, payroll, scheduling).
- Medical clearance per policy.
- Standard housekeeping carts and supplies; laundry equipment.
- Lift/carry up to 50 lbs.; climb/reach/bend/twist occasionally; frequent talking and listening; frequent handling of linens/supplies.
- Ability to read and communicate effectively for safety and quality.
- Indoor/outdoor tasks; managed exposure to cleaning agents per policy.
- In the course of their duties, employees may encounter residents with a range of medical and health‑related needs. Gardens Care upholds comprehensive safety and infection‑control standards, equipping staff with training, resources, and protective measures that prioritize the health and dignity of every individual.
