Senior Manager Financial Reporting and Equity Advisory

Location:

Phoenix Metro Area (Onsite). Must reside in or be willing to relocate to the Phoenix metro area. Level/title will be determined based on experience and demonstrated capability.

MOGEL is partnering with a nationally respected advisory firm seeking a Senior Manager-level professional with a strong Big 4 or national firm background in technical accounting or valuation advisory. This role is designed for experienced Managers or Senior Managers who have led public-company engagements and want to deepen specialization in complex financial reporting and equity compensation matters while maintaining meaningful client ownership.

This is not a corporate controller role. It is client-facing technical accounting advisory focused on public-company reporting.

• Share-based payment accounting under ASC 718 and IFRS 2
• Complex equity structures including performance awards and rTSR
• Earnings per share analysis under ASC 260
• Income tax provision considerations under ASC 740
• 409A valuations and related reporting
• Public-company disclosure support and technical documentation

You will serve as a trusted advisor to Controllers, CAOs, CFOs, and compensation committees of publicly traded companies.

• Own end-to-end client relationships and engagement delivery
• Provide technical leadership across complex accounting matters
• Review and approve technical memoranda and financial models
• Lead executive-level client presentations
• Mentor and develop Consultants and Senior Consultants
• Contribute to service innovation and thought leadership initiatives

• 8+ years of experience in Big 4 or national public accounting, technical accounting advisory, or valuation consulting
• Experience operating at the Manager or Senior Manager level
• Deep working knowledge of U.S. GAAP and authoritative research
• Direct exposure to ASC 718 or complex compensation arrangements strongly preferred
• Experience leading public-company engagements
• Proven ability to review work and provide structured feedback
• CPA required

• Technical accounting advisory background rather than pure audit
• Experience with equity compensation and performance-based awards
• Exposure to public-company disclosures and SEC reporting
• Experience presenting to executive stakeholders
