Equity Methods seeks a results-focused, growth-oriented valuation professional to support and drive client engagements related to the valuation of equity compensation instruments, complex securities, and related categories. Our Valuation Services Group offers the ability to apply core financial economics principles to impact financial reporting accuracy and timeliness at large publicly traded firms.

Role Overview:

  • Manage valuation projects from start to finish, including financial modeling, data analysis, project management, and client interaction.
  • Master and apply the firm’s option-pricing techniques for valuing equity compensation, complex securities, and businesses.
  • Review complex agreements to determine key terms and appropriate valuation frameworks.
  • Manage client portfolios, ensuring excellent service and understanding of how EM can assist further.
  • Lead client presentations and mentor junior staff in explaining valuation topics.
  • Contribute as an internal expert through reviews, staff training, and other senior responsibilities.
  • Support in HR Advisory projects like incentive design, compensation modeling, and pay equity analyses.

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • 5-9 years in valuation consulting or related fields, with proficiency in financial economics.
  • Strong Excel skills; experience in compensation or data analytics is a plus but not required.
  • Experience supervising and mentoring junior staff.
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant discipline.
  • Ability to understand complex financial and economic principles and manage multiple projects under stress.
  • Attention to detail and critical thinking skills.
