Position: CASINO AUDITOR - TALKING STICK RESORT

Overview

Performs daily audits of gaming (Class II, Class III and non-gaming revenue) and regulatory compliance. The audit consists of daily vault reconciliation, document verification, procedure compliance, and daily report and income journal creation. An audit checklist is used for all audits.

Responsibilities
  • Maintains complete confidentiality at all times.
  • Performs daily casino revenue audits including but not limited to the vault and all banks, cash summaries, journals for entry and related revenue reports for management.
  • Performs daily audit to determine the accuracy of all documentation, balancing at end of each shift or day, and accounts for all supporting documentation.
  • Performs daily audit for food, beverage, gift shop and other non-gaming revenue including reconciliation of register, computer or manual reports to cash, charges, gift certificates, complimentary paid outs, and voided transactions.
  • Completes all gaming department audits daily using audit checklists.
  • Maintains current and statistical information, which is reconciled to daily and monthly financial reports for all gaming departments.
  • Records all exception findings and maintains an exception log.
  • Fully versed in all regulatory compliance issues.
  • Responsible for maintaining up-to-date knowledge of Credit Card Compliance requirements commonly known as PCI (Payment Card Industry) Compliance by attending training provided by Casino Arizona, at least once a year or more if required by management. Signature verification of course attendance will be required.
  • Responsible for following the PCI (Payment Card Industry) Compliance regulations to protect card holder data and adhere to the standards to protect guests’ private card information. This includes, but is not limited to, observing and reporting inappropriate card handling activity, of either customers or by employees, as defined by PCI.
  • Responsible for the enforcement of all applicable regulations, under the code of Federal Regulations, Title 31, Chapter X, as it pertains to this position. This includes, but is not limited to, observing and reporting suspicious activity, of either customers or employees, as defined in the Code of Federal Regulations.
  • Responsible for maintaining up-to-date knowledge of all applicable regulations under the Code of Federal Regulations, Title 31, Chapter X, by attending Title 31/Anti-Money Laundering training, provided by Casino Arizona, at least once a year or more if required by management and outlined in the Title 31 Minimum Internal Controls.
Education and/or Experience

Two year degree in accounting, finance or a related field required; one year accounting experience required; casino audit experience preferred. Must have advanced proficiency using office machines including ten-key and other casino related automated systems.

Skills Computer Skills

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Accounting software; MS Word and MS Excel.

Must be able to get along with co-workers and be a team player. Must successfully communicate with multiple levels of management. Must present a well-groomed appearance. Must be able to work at a fast pace and in stressful situations. Must possess the ability to deal with sensitive and confidential data.

Language Skills

Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English.

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to walk; sit; use hands and fingers to handle or feel; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
