Position Summary

The Budget Analyst is primarily responsible for supporting Cogir Management USA's budgeting and forecasting process, primarily through the Vena budgeting and reporting software. In addition, the position will have exposure to other FP&A department responsibilities, including KPI reporting, other financial performance-related analysis, and working with tools such as Power BI. The position will be located at our corporate office in Scottsdale, AZ, with a 5-day-a-week work schedule.

Key Responsibilities Work closely with the Budget Manager:
  • Work with the Vena Budgeting and Financial Reporting software to prepare annual budgets and analysis.
  • Assist with maximizing the capabilities of Vena, including making enhancements to the prior year model, adding new features to create a more efficient financial reporting environment, and maintaining/enhancing the data feed from 3rd party applications.
  • Prepare annual budgets, cash flows, and forecasts.
Support other FP&A initiatives and objectives:
  • Work with underlying business drivers, key financial and operating metrics, and financial sensitivity analysis.
  • Assist with preparing forecasts and presenting financial results, as needed.
  • Work on a performance management benchmarking platform and reporting key performance indicators (KPIs) linking company strategy with business outcomes.
  • Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual KPIs and other reporting responsibilities.
  • Work with Power BI design, implementation, and reporting.
  • Ad hoc analysis and projects as needed.
Candidate Qualifications Education
  • A strong academic background with a bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or a related field is required.
  • An MBA, MSF, MFin, MAFM, MA, or other relevant advanced degree is preferred but not required.
  • Experience with Vena or similar budgeting software is highly desired.
Experience, Competencies, and Skills
  • At least 2-4 years of experience in financial analysis, asset management, underwriting, and/or FP&A.
  • Experience in the Senior Housing, Hospitality, Multifamily, or Commercial Real Estate industry is preferred, as is experience working with an Owner/Developer of senior housing, multifamily, or mixed-use projects.
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Excel with fluency in x-lookups, index match, and pivot tables.
  • Strong financial modeling skills.
  • Experience or exposure to analytical visualization tools is a plus.
  • Strong analytical and financial management skills.
  • Strong work ethic and ability to support multiple projects in parallel and prioritize competing demands under the pressure of time‑sensitive deadlines.
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
