Position Objective
The position of Auditorium Technician is designed to monitor and maintain the daily operation of activities in the school auditorium. Responsibilities include coordinating auditorium scheduling, overseeing auditorium activities, and maintaining accurate recordkeeping for auditorium usage, equipment, and materials.

Duties & Responsibilities- Maintain and operate auditorium equipment.
- Schedule, coordinate, and supervise auditorium activities during the school day.
- Coordinate and supervise facility rental activities during non‑school hours.
- Collaborate with school staff to provide needed equipment for special events (e.g., concerts, plays, dress rehearsals).
- Coordinate and communicate auditorium usage scheduling via email.
- Coordinate and communicate the overall auditorium usage calendar via a web‑based calendar system.
- Communicate with the supervising administrator regarding auditorium‑related issues (e.g., equipment status, auditorium usage, event calendar).
- Monitor auditorium and conduct daily inventory of equipment and materials.
- Work a flexible schedule as required, including evenings and weekends.
- Perform other related duties as assigned to ensure the efficient and effective functioning of the work unit.
- Assist other personnel as may be required for the purpose of supporting them in the completion of their work activities.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
High school diploma or G.E.D. required. Relevant experience preferred.
- Assist and monitor student assistants.
- Knowledge of stage elements (lighting, sound equipment, stage setup, basic technical repair, chords, set construction/design, etc.).
- Computer proficiency, including basic software applications.
- Ability to establish and maintain cooperative and effective working relationships with students, school staff, and district personnel.
- Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and written, with students.
- Ability to take initiative, be flexible, and accept direction and constructive feedback.
- Ability to organize, prioritize, and meet deadlines while working with minimum supervision.
- Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.

Medium Work:
Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
Incumbents may be subjected to moving mechanical parts, odors, chemicals, extreme temperatures, inadequate lighting, workspace restrictions, and intense noises.
