• Experience with system / software design for cloud-based microservice architecture
• Knowledge of networking concepts and protocols (TCP / IP, DNS, DHCP)
• Familiarity with operating systems (Linux, Windows)
• Experience with virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper‑V)
• Ground system design or scheduling knowledge
• Tracking mission design knowledge
• Satellite communications knowledge
• Ground to satellite communication knowledge
• Strong understanding of systems engineering principles and methodologies
• Experience with systems design, integration, and validation
• Proficiency in requirements analysis and system architecture design
• Understanding of Dev Ops principles and practices
• Experience with automation tools (Ansible, Puppet, Chef)
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)
• Knowledge of infrastructure as code (Terraform, Cloud Formation)
• Security and Compliance
• Understanding of cybersecurity principles and best practices, familiarity with compliance standards such as NIST and ISO 27001
• Ability to work effectively with multidisciplinary teams, strong problem-solving and analytical skills, proficiency in documenting system designs, configurations, and procedures
• Proficiency in systems engineering including decomposing requirements into architecture, interfaces, and design behavior, experience with ground pre‑planned or ad‑hoc scheduling and satellite / payload situational awareness, experience tracking IR payload or ground mission data transport, handling, and analysis, experience decomposing high‑level space‑ground systems design into ground software and systems design
• Experience with MBSE methodologies and tools such as CAMEO or Magic Draw
• Familiarity with programming languages such as Java, Python, and MATLAB for software developer coordination, system analysis, prototype algorithm development, or modeling
• Knowledge of cloud technologies and their application in system design and deployment
• Background in simulation and modeling analysis with tools like STK, particularly in aerospace applications
• Understanding of Dev Ops principles and practices, experience with automation tools such as Ansible, Puppet, and Chef

Requires a Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, or a related Science, Engineering, Technology or Mathematics field.
