Mountain West Consulting is seeking an experienced Electrical Project Manager to lead high-impact infrastructure and energy projects across the Phoenix Metro Area. This is a hands-on leadership role focused on safety, cost control, and scheduling for complex mechanical construction initiatives. The role involves working on mission-critical projects that power communities and industries, ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget.

Key responsibilities include collaborating with engineers, architects, utility providers, and local officials on projects supporting energy, industrial, and public infrastructure development. The ideal candidate has proven leadership in construction management, especially in oil, gas, or energy sectors.

• Effective field leadership promoting safety and compliance
• Clear communication with clients and stakeholders
• Accurate documentation and reporting

Responsibilities:

• Represent the owner on large capital projects, making decisions with consultants and contractors
• Review plans, specifications, reports, and contracts for compliance with codes and regulations
• Supervise construction activities including utilities, equipment installation, and exterior improvements
• Coordinate worksite access, permits, and schedules to minimize disruptions
• Manage project schedules, estimates, contract modifications, and payments
• Ensure safety standards are met and enforce regulations
• Oversee electrical systems delivery, including substation and control panels, and coordinate with electrical engineers and authorities

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field; advanced degrees preferred
• Certifications such as CCM, OSHA 10/30, NACE, ACI beneficial
• Experience managing industrial or utility electrical installations
• Knowledge of electrical safety protocols and systems like Procore, AutoCAD Electrical, or SCADA is a plus

Work Conditions:

• Outdoor and construction site work, travel required
• Moderate noise levels, exposure to weather and construction hazards

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to operate tools, navigate terrain, lift up to 75 pounds, and communicate effectively
