Water Treatment Plant Operator II​/Underfill

Water Treatment Plant Operator I – Performs routine skilled work in the operation and maintenance of the City’s water or wastewater treatment plant equipment and processes under direct oversight from Operator II, III, or IV.

Water Treatment Plant Operator II – Performs intermediate-level operational tasks involved in the operation and maintenance of the City’s water and wastewater treatment plant equipment and processes.

Operator I (Underfill): $28.84 – $38.95 per hour; midpoint $33.88.

Operator II: $31.79 – $42.94 per hour; midpoint $37.35.

• High School diploma or GED.
• Basic knowledge of advanced water or wastewater treatment facilities.
• Preferred:
  Experience with advanced computerized treatment systems.
• Operator I – Grade I water treatment certification from the Arizona Department of Environmental Quality.
• Operator II – Grade II water treatment certification and two years’ experience or equivalent experience.
• Valid, unrestricted driver’s license with no major citations in the past 39 months.
• Arizona residency required.
