Technician CAD Drafter – Synectics Inc.

We are looking for a skilled CAD Drafter to join our PAC Design (Protection, Automation and Control) department on a full‑time contract basis. The role involves producing detailed engineering drawings for power substation facilities, ensuring accuracy, and maintaining design standards.

• Prepare technical and skilled design drafts using Micro Station V8i or AutoCAD, based on notes, sketches, and instructions.
• Work with complex engineering drawings for construction, modification, and maintenance of power system facilities.
• Verify all information for accuracy and completeness to minimize drafting/engineering errors.
• Apply standard drawing practices for all assigned projects.
• Provide technical assistance and quality assurance support to other drafters.
• Produce production design drafts and checks to meet schedules for construction and installation records.
• Manage and organize working files using Project Wise software.

• Experience with Micro Station V8i or AutoCAD (preferred).

• Strong understanding of engineering drawing standards and ability to translate between drawing techniques.
