Make the world’s most advanced SDA O&I/GMI even smarter by supporting the SDA team as a PWSA Enterprise Level Engineer. The Ground Management and Integration (GMI) program is part of the PWSA program. It continues the Ground Segment work underway on the Tranche 1 (T1) Operations and Integration (O&I) program.

• As a Systems Engineer for the SDA GMI program, you will be a key member of a cross-functional team responsible for developing and deploying state-of-the‑art ground operational systems. Your contributions will be vital to the success and innovation of the program.

• U.S. Citizenship is required by Federal Law
• Department of Defense Top Secret security clearance is preferred at time of hire.
• Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, or a related Science, Engineering, Technology or Mathematics field.
• 2+ years of job‑related experience, or a Master’s degree and 6 months of job‑related experience. Agile experience preferred.

  • Experience with system/software design for cloud‑based microservice architecture

• Systems Design and Integration:
  • Strong understanding of systems engineering principles and methodologies
  • Experience with systems design, integration, and validation
  • Proficiency in requirements analysis and system architecture design
• Dev Ops and Continuous Integration:
  • Understanding of Dev Ops principles and practices
  • Experience with automation tools (e.g., Ansible, Puppet, Chef)
• Cloud and Infrastructure:
  • Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP)
  • Knowledge of infrastructure as code (e.g., Terraform, Cloud Formation)
• Security and Compliance:
  • Understanding of cybersecurity principles and best practices
  • Familiarity with compliance standards (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001)

• Systems Engineering:
  • Proficiency in systems engineering, decomposing requirements into architecture, internal and external interfaces, and design behavior
  • Experience with ground pre‑planned or ad‑hoc scheduling and situational awareness of satellites and payloads
  • Experience with tracking IR payload or ground mission data transport, handling, and analysis
  • Experience decomposing high‑level space‑ground systems design into ground software/systems design
• Model‑Based Systems Engineering (MBSE):
  • Experience with MBSE methodologies and tools such as CAMEO or Magic Draw

  • Familiarity with programming languages such as Java, Python, and MATLAB, including for software developer coordination, system analysis, prototype algorithm development, or modeling
