Position ObjectiveThe job of Teacher (K-12) on Assignment for Assessment is for the purpose of developing, administering, coordinating and reporting the assessment process of students; documenting information on students’ proficiency in English or academic skills; and ensuring compliance with legal and administrative requirements.
PAY GRADE: Certified Salary Schedule
Duties & Responsibilities State Mandated Testing- Acts as liaison between the Arizona Department of Education, their test scoring contractor COUR> , and District and School staff for State-mandated tests for the purpose of ensuring compliance with State
WATCH Scoring- Collaborates with data processing programmers (e.g. scoring and formatting test results, creating employee surveys, etc.) for the purpose of ensuring accurate output documents
- Composes documents (e.g. correspondence, memorandum, reports, etc.) for the purpose of communicating information to school and district personnel, state officials, etc.
- Coordinates the preparation of reports, collection of data, records maintenance, etc. for the purpose of ensuring availability of information and meeting district, state or federal requirements gids
- Participates on committees, task forces, etc. for the purpose of providing information about student testing
- Coordinates the district review committee for district benchmark review for the purpose of insuring quality control.
- Responds to inquiries from various internal and external parties (e.g. staff, parents, students, public agencies, etc.) for the purpose of providing information, facilitating communication among departments and/or providing direction as may be required.
- Composes appropriate memorandum and other correspondence to district personnel regarding testing and late start days.
- Assists with coordination of district wide training for our benchmark assessment technology as well as training administration on assessments.
- Manages the district proficiency assessment program.
- Conducts research projects, surveys and needs assessments.
- Schedules student tests and publishes the District student testing calendar for the purpose of evaluating students in accordance with state requirements.
- Coordinates the scheduling and administering of state and district-wide testing and assessment programs. competed
- Develops testing calendar relative to district; coordinates with test site coordinators and site personnel timelines for testing schedules and make-up schedules.
- Communicates late start schedules to transportation and nutritional services.
- Performs other related essential functions as assigned.

- Bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited institution
- Meet professional teacher education requirements of school, district and state
- Single subject teaching credential or certification if teaching a specialized subject
