Our vibrant, play-based Jewish preschool is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Early Childhood Teaching Assistant and Floater to join our exceptional team of educators. In this role, you will play a vital part in nurturing a supportive and engaging environment for our students. As a Teaching Assistant and Floater, you will work alongside lead teachers to facilitate learning experiences, assist with daily activities, and provide individualized support to meet the diverse needs of each child. Your nurturing presence will help create a warm classroom atmosphere that encourages exploration and growth.
You will foster strong relationships with parents through open communication, helping to strengthen the important home-school connection.

Responsibilities- Maintains accurate, complete and legible documentation.
- Participates in school-wide events, scheduled meetings and parent-teacher conferences.
- Supports communication with parents about behavior, needs, daily activities, academic performance and social acclimation of children.
- Works alongside lead teacher, parents and the administrative team in seeking resolutions to challenging behavior via formal and informal communication methods.
- Works with lead teacher to create age-appropriate lesson plans with developmentally appropriate activities and expectations that address learning styles, abilities, interests, behavior problems, and student specific goals, including differentiated small and large group instruction.
- Works with lead teacher to establish classroom routines to promote a positive environment conducive to effective instruction and developmentally appropriate experiences.
- Valid AZ Fingerprint Clearance Card (required)
- Recent negative TB Test (required)
- CPR and First Aid (preferred)
- Associates in Early Education/related field (preferred)
- Minimum of two years classroom experience with children birth to five (preferred)
- Ability to be flexible in assignment and work hours
- Be flexible and adaptable to change

- Excellent organizational skills
- Implement positive problem-solving behavior and conflict resolution skills
- Positively accept directions and suggestions
- Proficient in writing and interpersonal skills
- Promote positive interactions with colleagues, parents and students
- Employees may be required to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds frequently.
- Must be able to kneel, crouch, stand, walk, lift and perform repetitive motions for extended periods of time.
