POSITION OBJECTIVE:
The job of Teacher on Assignment Transition (TOA) is done for the purpose(s) of assisting and supporting Special Education teachers and staff and communicating with Special Education Administration.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited institution.
- Meet professional teacher education requirements of school, district and state.
- State certification in Special Education.
- Relevant teaching experience.
Appropriate Arizona Department of Education Special Education certification

Positions in this class typically require: reaching, standing, walking, finger dexterity, grasping, talking, hearing, seeing and repetitive motions.
Medium Work:
Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or negligible amount of force constantly to move objects. If the use of arm and/or leg controls requires exertion of forces greater than that for Sedentary Work and the worker sits most of the time, the job is rated for Light Work.
