School Aide - AM Aide/Crossing Guard (P/T) - Cochise ES (323295) Position Objective
- Provides a security presence at the school complex by walking around the facility and monitoring activities and students; reports the presence of unauthorized personnel to the school office.
- Monitors activities on campus to ensure the safety of students, which may include: identifying safety violations, diffusing situations among students, reinforcing positive social behavior.
- Performs minor housekeeping and groundskeeping tasks to keep the environment free of litter and/or dangerous situations.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
High School Diploma or G.E.D.; or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job.
Licensing Requirements- Ability to complete Crossing Guard training.
- Applicants recommended for hire will receive instructions on how to obtain a fingerprint clearance card as a condition of employment.
- Basic safety and security principles, practices, equipment, and procedures.
- Customer service principles.
- Recognizing potential security risks.
- Providing customer service.
- Communication and interpersonal skills sufficient to exchange or convey information and to receive work direction.
Positions in this class typically require the ability to reach, finger dexterity, grasp, talk, hear, see, and perform repetitive motions. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time; walking and standing are required only occasionally.
Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body.

Return To Work:
Retirees will have an hourly rate approximately 9% lower than listed below without falling below minimum wage.
