Registered Dental Hygienist - Part Time; no weekends

Gladiola Dental Care is a boutique‑style dental practice known for our reputation (5-star-only Google reviews), total-body approach to dental health, and supportive team. We are seeking a part‑time Dental Hygienist to join us in delivering exceptional, whole‑person oral care.

Flexible part‑time schedule: 1‑2 full days or 2.5 days a week (Tuesdays, Thursdays, half‑day Monday or Friday). No Saturdays – enjoy your weekends!

• Ensure patients feel comfortable and cared for before and during visits.
• Perform sterilization and infection‑control procedures per OSHA standards.
• Conduct screenings, review oral and medical health histories, and assess whole‑body wellness connections.
• Identify and document conditions such as gingivitis, caries, and periodontitis.
• Provide preventive care: cleanings, polishing, plaque removal, fluoride application.
• Educate patients of all ages on oral hygiene, brushing, and flossing techniques.
• Give post‑procedure instructions and long‑term care guidance.
• Take X‑rays and impressions when needed.
• Collaborate with the dentist on personalized treatment plans, including oral cancer screenings.
• Work with dental lasers in hygiene procedures—experience with diode lasers a plus, training and certification available.
• Maintain accurate records and monitor hygiene supplies.
• Contribute to overall team success with additional clinical and patient care tasks as needed.

• Current Illinois RDH license and Dental Hygiene diploma.
• Experience as a dental hygienist (new grads welcome too!).
• Knowledge of HIPAA, OSHA, and infection control protocols.
• Strong communication and patient education skills.
• Detail‑oriented, friendly, and patient‑focused personality.
• Comfort with modern dental technology (digital X‑rays, intraoral cameras, lasers).
