Job SummaryProvides a clean, safe, and fun childcare environment with sports‑related activities and service assigned to children aged 8 weeks to 13 years.
Summary of Essential Functions- Attract and retain members by consistently providing excellent customer service.
- Interact with employees, members, and guests in a manner aligned with Village Standards.
- Greet and check in members and children.
- Provide the highest possible care and attention to each child.
- Attentively watch and attend to the children.
- Ensure the safety of all children in the Nursery and Kids Club and follow safety procedures.
- Provide positive, appropriate, and fun activities for the children.
- Maintain the Nursery and Kids Club in a clean and organized manner.
- Communicate professionally with parents.
- Handle complaints, comments, and injuries and refer to the appropriate lead person.
- Operate as a team player with all co‑workers and staff.
- Attend monthly/quarterly staff meetings and complete annual trainings.
- Assist with all major holiday events (Easter, Halloween, and Winter).
- Work 2–3 Parent’s Night Out throughout the year.
- Be flexible to work evenings and weekends as needed.
- Maintain a physical presence within the Village to perform assigned duties.
- Change diapers and feed children as needed.
- Six months experience in a childcare environment.
- Ability to work well with children.
- Ability to move and react quickly to a variety of circumstances.
- Friendly & energetic with strong verbal communication skills.
- Reliable and punctual.
- Must successfully pass a criminal background check as a contingency of employment.
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Obtain CPR certification within 30 days of hire through company training.
- Weekend work required.
The position requires frequent standing, walking, lifting, grasping, bending, and kneeling to care for children. It also involves rhythmic movements of the wrists, hands, and fingers, and requires the ability to express and receive detailed spoken instructions. Sustained sitting periods are included.
Physical RequirementSenatorial work involves sitting some of the time. Walking and standing are required daily. Exertion of up to 25 pounds may be required to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects, including children. The role may involve physical movement related to membership events and programs.
Visual RequirementClose visual acuity is necessary to supervise children, prepare and analyze data, transcribe, view computer monitors, and engage in extensive reading.
Working ConditionsTypical office or administrative work and member indoor/outdoor activity.
