The Nanny Joynt is excited to partner with a warm, fun-loving family in North Scottsdale seeking a part-time nanny to join their vibrant household. This family of five includes two active school-aged boys and a sweet new baby. They’re looking for an experienced, creative, and patient nanny who can step in with flexibility to support their family rhythm — offering quality infant care while creating space for connection with the older kids.

This role is perfect for a career nanny who has a heart for family life, loves boys, and thrives in a household full of energy and laughter. You should enjoy spending time and working with mom regularly. Outings will be done with mom for the most part until a solid relationship is built.

Family

Children:

  • Boy (8 years) – Energetic, fun, school-aged boy who loves attention and playtime with his parents.
  • Boy (6 years) – Equally spirited and active, enjoys time with his siblings and is adjusting to life with a new baby brother.
  • Boy (4 months) – The newest addition! Sweet and easygoing. Care will focus heavily on infant support so mom and dad can get things done or spend 1:1 time with the older boys.

Pets: Small hypoallergenic dog in the home, she’s so sweet and fun to be around.

  • Parents:
  • Mom is currently a stay-at-home parent and deeply involved in daily routines. You should be very comfortable working alongside mom each day.
  • Dad works from home and enjoys being present but needs focused support, especially during his work hours.
  • The family is loving, communicative, and highly engaged with their kids.
  • They previously employed a nanny and value caregivers who become part of the family.
Position Details
  • Schedule:
  • 32 hours a week guaranteed
  • 3 weekday shifts possibly 10am – 6pm (exact days/hours TBD based on mutual fit)
  • Saturday availability is essential and required 9am – 5pm
  • Additional date night help every couple of weeks would be ideal
  • Some travel may be requested with advance notice
  • A set weekly schedule will be built with flexibility based on family needs
  • Compensation and Benefits:
  • Hourly Rate: $28–$32/hour DOE
  • Guaranteed Weekly Hours
  • W-2 Payroll, Paid Sick Days, Vacation Time, Holidays
  • Some travel or overnights may be requested – travel accommodations and overnight fee provided
  • Travel Required: Yes – occasional family trips, weekend getaways, or local outings
  • Overnights: Possible (with advance notice, paid overnight fee, and hourly for wake time)
Responsibilities
  • Childcare Duties:
  • Loving, hands-on care for the infant and older boys
  • Engaging activities with the older boys when needed
  • Flexibility to care for one, two, or all three children, depending on the day
  • Bottle prep, children’s laundry, sanitizing toys, and baby items
  • Diapering, naps, and soothing infant routines
  • Tag-teaming with Mom on family outings or special days
  • Household Support:
  • Children’s laundry and linen changes
  • Light tidying: dishes, toys, counters, floors, loading and unloading dishwasher
  • Keeping common areas and play spaces neat and organized
  • Light meal/snack prep for kids
  • Occasional errands if needed
  • General support to help the home run smoothly during nanny shifts
The Ideal Candidate
  • Has prior infant experience and references from past long-term nanny roles
  • Warm, fun, and confident — someone who genuinely loves spending time with kids
  • Experienced with boys and the energy that comes with them!
  • A strong communicator who works well alongside a stay-at-home parent
  • Brings creative play ideas, is organized, and shows up consistently
  • Comfortable traveling and being flexible as family needs evolve
  • Bilingual is a plus (not required)
  • Up-to-date on Tdap and flu vaccines is required
Family Values
  • Quality time and connection with each child at their level
  • Creating joyful moments in the home
  • Consistency, kindness, and clear communication
  • Respect for their children’s individuality and emotional needs

This position is perfect for a seasoned nanny who enjoys the balance of infant care and being part of a lively family environment. If you’re someone who brings creativity, patience, and a can-do attitude — and you’re excited to invest in a long-term role with a loving family — we’d love for you to apply!
