Overview

Chapman Collision Center is looking for a Paint Prep Technician to join our team. We are a Gold Class collision repair shop focused on high-quality auto body and paint repair services, with ongoing training and development for our staff. The Paint Prep Technician helps restore vehicles to pre-accident condition through meticulous attention to detail and thorough workmanship. This role works closely with Painters, Auto Body Technicians and Estimators, and reports to the Body Shop Manager.

Core Responsibilities
  • Check bodywork/prep/prime to ensure vehicles are ready for paint
  • Tape and mask areas not to be painted
  • Unmask, buff and polish completed vehicles, ensuring exceptional quality
  • Clean stalls and paint booths
Desired Qualifications And Experience
  • 1 year of experience with automotive paint prep required
  • Thorough and focused with exceptional attention to detail
  • Demonstrated ability to manage your time effectively to meet deadlines and production goals
  • Must have a clean driving record and a valid driver s license
  • Must pass a pre-employment background check and drug screening
Hours and Work Environment

The Collision Center is open Monday – Friday 7:30am to 5:30pm and Saturday 9am – 12pm. We ask that all applicants have open availability during our business hours. Our technicians enjoy an indoor, climate-controlled shop.
