About the RoleThe client is seeking a detail-oriented Lease Administration Analyst to support real estate portfolio administration. This role focuses on lease abstractions, database management, reconciliation of operating expenses, and audit services. The analyst will ensure that lease information is accurately captured, verified, and maintained in the client’s database.
Responsibilities- Review and abstract commercial lease documents, identifying key details required for database entry.
- Update and maintain lease abstract information in the client’s database, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Compare and evaluate operating expense and tax reconciliation statements received from clients or landlords.
- Verify expenses charged to clients in accordance with lease clauses.
- Conduct full-scope audits for lease administration clients and recommend actions for additional audit and recovery.
- Prepare reports of findings and ensure accurate credits and appropriate charges are recorded.
- Assist in preparing CAM reconciliations and ensure adherence to business control standards.
- Review contracts to identify fees, including audit savings and travel reimbursements.
- Perform research to complete missing lease information, including landlord contacts, using public resources such as County Assessor sites.
- Work within standardized procedures to achieve objectives and meet deadlines, modeling professional behavior consistent with company values.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred with up to 3 years of relevant experience; combination of education and experience considered.
- Experience in lease administration, reconciliation, or related real estate functions preferred.
- Familiarity with real estate terminology and lease management tools preferred.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and data entry.
- Strong organizational skills with an inquisitive mindset.
- Ability to analyze information, follow established procedures, and exercise judgment in problem-solving.
- Strong communication skills to ask questions, exchange information, and ensure understanding of tasks
