SUMMARY OF POSITION: The Ministry Support Specialist provides administrative and operational support across multiple ministries s role works closely with ministry leaders to execute monthly, weekly, and annual tasks and projects. Serving as a key point of contact during front desk duties, the Specialist is often the first touchpoint for guests, visitors, and church members. They represent and support all ministries, serving as a vital connector within the Illuminate community.
RESPONSIBILITIES- Provide a welcoming environment and first class experience for all visitors, guests and church attendees who call, e-mail or walk through our doors
- Provide excellent support to all ministry leaders and staff members
- Accept deliveries and ensure they get to the right place
- Help organize and execute office processes and protocols
- Work with ministry leaders on regular weekly projects or tasks, as well as seasonal events and projects
- Keep essential and relevant information updated, organized, and centralized so it can be accessed and utilized by various staff teams
- Perform administrative duties such as answering phone calls, copying, cutting, binding materials. Stocking the copy room as well as the staff kitchen
- Assisting in the planning, ordering, set up and clean up for monthly All Staff Meetings
- Be another “set of eyes” when walking through the building, tidying up as necessary and communicating with the proper staff member when something needs to be addressed throughout the building
- Have effective communication with supervisor regarding work load, obstacles, needed clarity or resources
- Assist in managing and synchronizing multiple ministry calendars – gathering relevant information from Ministry Leaders and being aware of and proactive about all things going on at ICC
- Be a part of Project Management – handle the project portal, assign requests, schedule meetings, gather additional info needed to keep projects moving forward
- Utilize and manage Planning Center
- Utilize in daily, weekly, monthly, seasonal tasks and projects
- Be a part of creative projects within multiple ministries as assigned
- Some experience in worship, communications and/or production a plus
- Strong work ethic; excellent communication skills;
Team player; ability to learn fast and execute quickly. - Excellent organizational skills, communication skills and customer service skills
- Ability to work independently and as a team to meet deadlines
- Ability to multi-task efficiently and to work on multiple different projects at a time

- Humble and teachable
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Working knowledge of programs such as Planning Center, , Mailchimp a plus
- A commitment to Jesus Christ and a life that demonstrates consistency with biblical standards, including compatibility with the church’s statement of faith and it’s governing values.
- High level of personal and professional integrity
- Demonstrate a high degree of loyalty and the capability of protecting the confidentiality of sensitive matters related to the church organization.
Constant sitting, standing, moving and viewing of screens. Occasional lifting of 20 pounds or more.
