FORM is seeking a highly capable Construction Senior Accountant to support the accounting function for our construction operations. This role is designed for a hands‑on accounting professional who thrives in a small‑team environment and is comfortable balancing day‑to‑day execution with meaningful ownership of key accounting processes.
The Senior Accountant plays a critical role in maintaining accurate financial records in accordance with GAAP, supporting the monthly close process, and ensuring the integrity of construction accounting activities including revenue recognition, work‑in‑progress (WIP), and balance sheet review. This position partners closely with Finance and Construction leadership and is well‑suited for someone who takes initiative, exercises sound judgment, and understands how accounting supports overall business performance.

- Maintain financial accounting records from general ledger through financial statement preparation in accordance with GAAP
- Own key components of the monthly, quarterly, and annual close process
- Prepare and review journal entries for recurring and non‑recurring transactions
- Perform and review bank, credit card, and balance sheet reconciliations
- Ensure balance sheet integrity through monthly subledger tie‑outs and variance analysis
- Support construction revenue billings and coordination of cost and revenue recognition
- Prepare and maintain construction WIP schedules, job cost reports, and indirect cost allocations
- Analyze project and corporate financial performance to identify trends and variances
- Support corporate budget reporting and forecasting processes
- Assist with annual audits, tax preparation support, and cost segregation activities
- Serve as an accounting resource for project teams and on‑site personnel
- Contribute to process improvements, internal controls, and ERP/system optimization
- Perform ad‑hoc financial projects and other related duties as assigned
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required
- 3-6 years accounting experience, with construction industry experience
- Strong working knowledge of GAAP and construction accounting principles, including revenue recognition and WIP
- Experience participating in monthly close and financial statement preparation
- Advanced Excel skills required, including VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP and pivot tables, with the ability to analyze and manipulate large data sets
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and commercial accounting software;
Acumatica ERP experience preferred - Experience supporting audits and maintaining internal controls
- Ability to manage priorities independently in a fast‑paced, collaborative environment
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem‑solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- High level of integrity and commitment to ethical conduct aligned with company core values
- CPA or CPA‑eligible preferred but not required
This position is fully in office. Candidates should be comfortable collaborating closely with both the Finance and Construction teams in a dynamic, team‑oriented environment.
